Practical course on requirements engineering – proven methods and AI in use

This practical course imparts not only theoretical knowledge, but above all practical expertise to effectively manage requirements in day-to-day project work and ensure the long-term success of the project.

A clear requirements process in two days

In this two-day practical course, participants experience the entire requirements engineering process using an end-to-end example – from requirements elicitation, analysis and documentation through to the creation of a complete specification.

In practical exercises, they apply proven methods and techniques directly and learn how to formulate requirements in a structured and consistent manner with clear traceability. This creates a continuous, traceable flow of requirements from the idea to the specification.

In addition, one topic block is dedicated to the possible applications of artificial intelligence in requirements engineering – for example in determining, structuring, checking or refining requirements. This will give you a sound understanding of how AI tools can usefully support your daily work.

Aims of the practical course

After the practical requirements engineering course, participants will be proficient in:

  • understand and apply the entire requirements engineering process using an end-to-end example
  • Use methods and techniques for collecting, analysing and documenting requirements in a targeted manner
  • Establish traceability and ensure the traceability of requirements
  • Formulate requirements in a structured, consistent and verifiable manner
  • Recognising and using the potential of AI tools in requirements engineering

Training content

  • Gathering and documenting requirements – applying practice-orientated methods and techniques for the structured collection and description of requirements
  • Deriving system and software requirements – precisely deriving functional and non-functional requirements from customer needs
  • Traceability and change management – keeping requirements traceable across all levels and managing changes in a controlled manner
  • Compact insight: AI in Requirements Engineering – Get to know AI-supported support for analysis, consistency checking and quality assurance

Booking options

The 2-day practical course can be booked both face-to-face and remotely.
