Coping with Complexity

The complexity of modern space missions is a challenge for the project teams each and every time. This situation has become even more demanding with the publication of the Packet Utilization Standard (PUS-C) by the European Cooperation for Space Standardization (ECSS) in April 2016, which defines communication protocols for space systems. Increased requirements and interdependencies have significantly increased the complexity of the model. 

In view of this situation, the PERIGEE application has been developed for the high and complex requirements of space missions. This tool enables project teams to cope with the high degree of complexity involved.

PERIGEE makes it possible to implement the definition of communication both among satellite components and between satellites and ground within a short time. Hence, you can work out the communication links for spacecraft and their components in accordance with ECSS PUS-C significantly more quickly and easily. PERIGEE implements and refines the Mission PUS quickly and efficiently from the specifications of the European Standard ECSS-E-ST-70-41C with central data management, an intuitive user interface and multi-user capability.

The “Baseline” functionality makes it possible to freeze any data status level so that previously released versions can be accessed for the purpose of audits or modi cation. PERIGEE is highly scalable and extendible for user-specific project requirements.

A LaTeX compiler able to create PDF les is required for docu- ment generation. We recommend using MiKTeX 2.9 for this task.
