We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer with strong communication skills for a long-term digitization project for a permanent position. In a multicultural environment with distributed Scrum teams across the world, you ensure the stable and secure operation of the Azure cloud infrastructure and support our own team in Switzerland. A place of residence in Switzerland would be desirable, although remote work within the EU would also be permitted. A willingness for a multi-day workshop in Switzerland at least once a year should be given.
Your tasks
- Build, optimize, automate, and extend Azure cloud infrastructures
- Cooperation with stakeholders, software engineers and architects to ensure the security, stability and efficiency of the services and systems
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Integrate data storage solutions including databases and key-value stores
- Manage Azure cloud and Kubernetes clusters
Must haves
- Familiar with most Microsoft Azure platform and infrastructure services
- Knowledge about cloud design pattern (e.g. event sourcing)
- Experience with deployment tools such as Terraform
- Excellent interdisciplinary communication skills in English (German is a plus)
- Academic degree in Computer Science or a comparable subject
- Work permit for Switzerland or EU passport holder
Nice to have
- Certifications (e.g. Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer, Cloud Security)
- Understanding or experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum
- Experience in developing applications with C#.NET
